Researcher. Practicing Surveyor. Building Physicist.
Jason Ratcliffe, MSc, BA (Hons), AssocRICS is a multi-award-winning entrepreneur, RICS Surveyor, researcher, and aspiring building physicist. He fell in love with the beautiful landscapes and lifestyle in Cornwall, England, and decided to settle down with his wife and have a family together. This lifestyle, over the years, has become part of the foundation for his core beliefs. He believes that achieving a state of harmony between the way in which humanity lives and the planet is not so out of reach, however, requires the mould to be broken within all sectors, including politics, economy, and the way people think and behave as a community and individuals.
Jason's research and main ambitions are to spread this ethos through conferences, media outlets, and education. As a Ph.D. student and Director of an RICS surveying firm, Steren Surveyors, he is able to focus on the true benefits of natural and sustainable insulation materials within the built environment to increase the well-being of occupiers, optimise thermal efficiency within homes and increase the demand/viability for the economies of scale for truly sustainable materials to be used within the built environment, with the hope to fully replacing synthetic and harmful materials that are currently widely used as the "go to" choice.
The Elemental Cube™ is Jason's first-of-its-kind climate chamber with a patented design internationally recognised by academics and governing bodies delivering dynamic and unique approaches to insulating a building to achieve thermal optimisation.
The Elemental Cube™ provides industry professionals and self-build enthusiasts with the ability to achieve ISO standard research, reduce energy consumption, increase sustainability, increase living condition quality and improve profit margins/desirability of buildings through accurate and bespoke data capture.
